I bought this mat for the purpose of doing abdominal exercises in my college dorm room. It definitely works well when space is limited, although I did expect it to be bigger than it is. It is comfortable even when the floor surface is not (again - college dorm room!) When the product came, it came in a box that recommended the mat to be used alongside other products, such as a step aerobics box that you could lay this mat on top of. If you are looking for something for yoga or the like, I would recommend looking for something longer.
