I'm experienced with yoga props, and have bought blankets from a variety of sources. I bought these blankets for gifts and was very impressed with the high cotton content, quality and look of the blankets - I wanted to keep them!
Re cotton content- you can't go by the label. Many Mexican blanket producers low-ball the cotton percentage because its easier to clear customs - I wouldn't have known/believed this - but after several purchases, and several calls to vendors - I believe it now. Some of my nicest blankets have low/no cotton labels - but they're cotton.

Ideal for use in shoulder stands, restorative yoga, and as cushioning against hard floors, the Hugger Mugger Mexican yoga blanket is soft to the touch but still firm enough to provide all the support you need for floor exercises. The blanket is made of a soft woven fabric, with colorful striped patterns in a classic Mexican style. More importantly, the blanket works in a variety of situations: in addition to supporting all types of yoga and shoulder stands, the blanket also fits under your hips in seated poses or works in place of a bolster. You can even drape the blanket over your body for warmth during your final relaxation pose. The blanket measures 80 by 53 inches.
