I bought the smaller hand size towel because I didn't want to wash the big towel all the time.
They warn that it will bleed if you don't wash it twice before the first use, but I didn't find that to be true.
You have to wet the towel before you use it. I still find that my hands slide, especially when holding down dog for a long time, but it's better than not using the towel. It's also better than using a hand towel. So, dont' think that it's going to be magic, but it will improve slippage.

This Yogitoes Skidless premium hand-size yoga towel is the only towel created specifically to prevent slipping while practicing yoga. The towel works intuitively: simply place the side with the silicone eco nubs face down on the yoga mat or low-pile carpet. Once you put distribute your weight in a yoga posture, the eco nubs start gripping the mat, thus keeping your hands from slipping in mid-stretch.
