I bought this mat to use while I did the Insanity workout. There's a ton of high impact running and jumping and it was killing my knees. I'm also using it for P90X where I spend a lot of time on the floor working on abs. This is so much better than any yoga mat. I bought 6 of these tiles, just enough room to do this workout. I loved it so much that I'm going to buy enough to cover my whole workout room, wall to wall. They're tough and durable. This is the stuff they use in commercial gyms. I put my bench on top of it and it's stable. I drop weights on it, no problem. Doing crunches on a yoga mat used to kill my tailbone. Not with this mat.The only complaint I've had is while doing side lunges, I sometimes slip a little. I put my yoga mat on top of this mat, just for traction. Though I can do yoga on this mat barefoot without slipping.
