"Wai Lana 137 Yoga Mat"....A mat is a must have for anyone practicing Yoga. The Wai Lana mat will serve you well. It's a "sticky" mat, that will keep you from slipping and help you hold your poses. It's much more comfortable than working on the floor, as it has a nice cushioning as well. It's long enough(1/8"Hx24"Wx68"L) to flow from one posture to the next and I find I move with greater ease and stability with this mat.
It's not just for Yoga though. I use this mat for all of my floor exercises. If I'm working on push ups, abs or my legs, I find it a great help in keeping carpet fibers and dust away from my face.
It's very lightweight,durable, easy to clean(washes up with cool water and mild detergent), and rolls up for easy storage.
At first one edge(the back) stayed slightly rolled up and that bothered me a little while I was working out, but I rolled it up in the opposite direction and it's fine now.
According to the care instructions, the mat will increase in softness and stickiness over time. This is a great buy, in just a short time, I have already gotten my money's worth. It comes with care intrauctions and an 800 number for customer service and questions.
