I got a maroon one of these for Christmas after putting it on my wish list, and it has not disappointed me. I do yoga on my Wii Fit, and I wanted a cotton mat because the main problem I have is that I have hardwood floors and sweat a lot, so my hands and feet were sliding all over the place. This solves the problem perfectly. It's also even prettier than I thought it would be, which is a plus. The stripes on it are in different shades of maroon, ranging from dark maroon to a dark pinkish color. The material is not soft (so no sliding), but it's not rough, either (so no torn-up hands), and it's a tight, sturdy weave of medium thickness. Those who need extra padding might want to use it over a foam mat for extra cushioning, but this is not a concern for me.
